Walkathon, World Heart Day 2023, September 29
On the occasion of World Heart Day, Thrissur Daya Hospital organized a walkathon in association with Club FM Thrissur and IMA Thrissur. The event started at 6 AM on September 29th, commencing from Vadakkumnathan Thekke Gopuranada and ended at Daya General Hospital. The Walkathon received warm acknowledgments from notable figures, including Administrator Jayarajan K, Managing Director Dr. Abdul Azeez, Thrissur City Police Commissioner Mr. Ankit Ashokan, Kalyan Chairman & Managing Director Shri. Pattabhiraman, Thrissur Chamber of Commerce President Mr. PK Jalil, Majlis Chairman CS Salim, IMA President Dr. Shobhana Mohandas and IMA Secretary Dr. Joseph George.
Adding a burst of energy to the walkathon, Adarsh Nair led a lively Zumba session as part of the festivities. Walkathon started at 6:30 in the morning with the flag-off by Thrissur City Police Commissioner Mr. Ankit Ashokan and concluded at Daya General Hospital at 7:30 am. Abdul Jabbar MM, the Director of Daya General Hospital expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic participation.
More than 300 individuals participated in the walkathon, including directors and staff from Daya Hospital, Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical Personnel, representatives from various departments, IMA officials, as well as teachers and students from Vimala College and ELIMS College.
